About this website

Our aim in designing our website was to enable fast and easy access for all visitors. We are mindful of the facts that not all our visitors have broadband or the most current web-browser software, and that some of our visitors are differently-abled. The simplicity of design is deliberate. In particular:

All text can be resized.
Graphics are kept to a minimum and are small enough to enable swift download for visitors with dialup connections.
Visually-impaired visitors using screen readers can rely on the presence of ALT text for all images.
The site has no Flash content and minimal Javascript content, making it accessible to visitors with older browsers.
The site has no audio content; our policy is to provide transcripts, make the site fully accessible to the hearing-impaired.
Navigation is kept consistent, via the menu at the top of each page, and the home page can always be reached by clicking on the logo at the top left of every page.

We provide an RSS news feed, which is linked from the XML-RSS icon near the top left of every page, immediately below our logo. Incorporate our feed into your favourite news-aggregator software to receive news of our events, publications, and commentary on international events.
